Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our established but growing business. You will help us discover information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. In order to be successful in this role you need a passion for data mining, statistical analysis and predictive modelling. You will encounter various tasks that come with consumer credit business and should enjoy solving them.

General Responsibilities:

  • Data mining and feature generation
  • Building high quality prediction systems for credit risk assessment, fraud prevention and constant tracking of its performance

  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and communicating results to stake holders, including Senior Management

  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems


Skills & requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Excellence in R or Python
  • Proficiency in using SQL
  • Minimum of 3 years end-to-end experience building predictive models, with participation in all aspects including data preparation, variable definition and selection, model refinement, model evaluation and model implementation
  • Positive, innovative and constructive mind set with high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Great communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics in a simple and clear manner
  • Master´s degree in a quantitative oriented field of study, including Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or equivalent
